Common Sense. Tribute to the Bucket Bear, 2023 | agar, seeds, paper, plastic labels, aluminium plates, sand

Seemingly unconnected internet images, printed on cards, are presented to puzzle over and make sense of them together. The cards are laid out on a shadow image and words, printed on labels, are laid out to trace the sense made between the images. Sand is sprinkled over the resulting assemblage using a cut-out, then agar is poured to cover the whole, onto which seeds are planted, which will grow and continue to connect the different layers of meaning.
